Custom data model for Order Acknowledgment BI Publisher Report

Hi,   I'm a developer working in the Cloud SCM module, specifically Order Management's Sales Order Acknowledgement Report.  We have a need to extend the data model, but the data model for this report is hidden by Oracle.  I have created a custom BI Pub template and hooked that in, but I cannot get it to see the New Data Model that I've created.  Oracle says that I need to create a new data model, which I did.  Do you know how to hook-in a new data model?  I already know about the xmlpserver, but I must be doing something wrong with the new data model. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
